Winners with atti2ude

Posted on April 21, 2011

imageEight wannabe street dancers, from across the UK, were plucked from obscurity by celebrity choreographer Sisco Gomez, to be part of a new street dance crew, atti2ude, at the final of Schwarzkopf’s Street Dance: The Search.

The contestants beat off hundreds of other young hopefuls to receive a place in the new street dance group and a £10,000 joint contract and expert training from the best in the business, including choreography masterclasses from Sisco.

Schwarzkopf’s Street Dance: The Search has been touring the UK for the last few months, searching for the nation’s best street dancers. Selected finalists were invited to perform their best moves in front of an expert judging panel at the grand final at London’s famous Koko Club on April 10.

Sisco said: “It’s great to be able to give upcoming talent an opportunity to break into the industry and support the dance talent this country has to offer. Over the next few days, I’ll be putting atti2ude through their paces to ensure they become the best dancers they can be and start their journey to success.”

Sisco, who has worked with Madonna, Kylie and Pink and is currently a judge on BBC’s “So You Think You Can Dance”, led the judging, along with “Britain’s Got Talent”’s Tobias Mead and StreetDance 3D star Brooke.

The dance extravaganza also featured star performances from MOBO-winning vocalist Kele Le Roc and three-times UK Street Dance Champions Plague, and saw all the contestants and members of the audience get a hair makeover by the Schwarzkopf LIVE Color XXL and got2b teams.

The name atti2ude was chosen by the Facebook fans of the Street Dance: The Search Facebook; the dancers are currently undergoing intensive training and mentoring with Sisco, before receiving exclusive styling from Schwarzkopf, starring in their video and photoshoot and being entered into the UK’s biggest street dance competitions.
