There’s more dance and performance from Watch This Space, the National Theatre’s outdoor performance festival, on London’s South Bank this week.
Irish company Fidget Feet (pictured) perform Hang On, a struggle between the sexes told with a mix of live music and aerial dance trapeze. Performances are on Wednesday, August 10 and Thursday, August 11, at 1.15pm and 6.30pm. Between shows, you can take part in aerial workshops at 3pm and 4pm – call 020 7452 3445 to book.
On Friday 11 and Saturday 10, you can join 1623 Theatre Company for the Great Shakespearean Workout. Join an epic battle between Trojans and Greeks, as Troilus and Cressida get everyone moving. The event brings together aerobics, kung fu, tai chi and iambic pentameter. Wear loose clothing and bring a bottle of water. Workouts start at 2.30pm.
Other performances this week include The Chipolatas, who mix music, acrobatics and juggling at 6.15pm on Friday 12 and Saturday 13, and Spanish circus troupe Atempo Circ, who perform on the Cloud Swing, Chinese pole and cyr wheel on Friday and Saturday at 10pm.
Despite recent disruption in London, all performances are expected to go ahead.
