Virtual open day at London Contemporary Dance School

lcds emileholbaOn July 3, London Contemporary Dance School will stream a day of classes, projects, interviews and performances, giving an insight into life and work at the school.

The open day will start streaming live at 11.30am, continuing until around 4pm. It will feature technique classes and projects by BA Hons degree course students, as well as question and answer sessions with current students. You can tweet questions for the student Q and A sessions using the hashtag #LCDSLive.

The day will also include interviews with choreographers Renaud Wiser, Igor and Moreno, Kerry Nicholls and Shay Keubler, who have been commissioned to create works for this year’s graduation performances. The first of the graduation performances will also be streamed on July 3, starting at 8pm.

Zoë was born in Edinburgh, and saw her first dance performances at the Festival there. She is the dance critic of The Independent, and has also written for The Independent on Sunday, The Scotsman and Dancing Times. In 2002, she received her doctorate from the University of York for a thesis on “Nationhood and epic romance: Ariosto, Sidney, Spenser”. She is the author of The Royal Ballet: 75 Years and The Ballet Lover’s Companion.
