Victory Jive

Posted on August 25, 2011

Following the sell-out dance at the National Army Museum last Christmas, London Swing Dance Society returns with a summer special, Victory Jive, this Saturday, August 27, from 7.30pm until midnight.

There will be taster classes, cabaret from Simon Selmon and Nikki Santilli, and dancing to 1940s big band music, with special guest DJ Ruzzit Buzzit spinning the tunes. Female dancers can indulge in an extra touch of glamour with authentic 1940s hairdressing and makeovers.

The dress code is Hawaiian shirts, 1940s civilian or military. Tickets are priced at  £15 (standard), £12.50 (concession) or £7.50 (under 15s).  For concession tickets, contact the Museum Shop on 020 7881 6600. Booking is essential

Nicola Rayner was editor of Dance Today from 2010 to 2015.
