Thrill the World

Posted on September 28, 2011

Michael Jackson fans are counting down the days until “Thrill the World”, the sixth annual simultaneous performance of the famous “Thriller” dance, which will take place all over the world on October 29.

In London, official practices are now in motion with “funky zombies” set to dance alongside Wombles, dragons and UFOs. “Got To Dance” finalists will also be “beamed in” on the day to join in. For inspiration, see one of the videos from 2009 (when 32 nations, 278 cities and 22,923 zombies synchronised their watches and their moves to raise over $85,000 for charity.

If you would like to take part this year, workshops are free, but you are asked to choose a charity to “Thrill” for: the NSPCC, DanceAid, or your own cause if you are a registered charity (verification required). Official TTW Sponsorship forms are available. UK “Thrill” times are 3pm and 2am.
