Tango on the Thames

Tango on the Thames this weekend on on HMS President at London’s Victoria Embankment. To mark Halloween, some dancers will be dancing in costume, so do feel free to dress up!


Doors open at noon. From 12.30pm to 1.30pm there will be a tango class, open to all levels, followed by dancing in the ballroom from 1.30pm to 5.30pm to music by DJ Tony Walker. The licensed bar will serve tea, coffee and other drinks, with free light refreshments provided by Peng Newman. Admission costs £14, or £5 for non-dancers.

Nicola Rayner was editor of Dance Today from 2010 to 2015. She has written for a number of publications including The Guardian, The Independent and Time Out Buenos Aires, where she cut her teeth as a dance journalist working on the tango section.
