tango-fire---oblivion--18Argentine tango company Tango Fire returns to the UK next year bringing Flames of Desire to the West End’s Peacock Theatre from January 30 to February 24 as part of the show’s second international tour.

Flames of Desire features ten sensational dancers, including five world tango champions, with choreography by the show’s lead dancer German Cornejo, accompanied by the company’s quartet of brilliant musicians, Quarteto Fuego.

The show journeys through the history of tango, tracing its roots in the dance halls of Buenos Aires before moving through the decades to showcase tango’s growing popularity as a contemporary dance form.

Tango Fire’s Flames of Desire is set against the musical backdrop of Astor Piazzolla, Mores, Gardel, Rodriguez and other tango masters. Quarteto Fuego provides the live music on the traditional instruments of tango, double bass, piano, violin and bandoneón. The band and dancers are accompanied by one of Argentina’s finest young singers, Jesus Hidalgo.

Performances begin at 7.30pm.Tickets cost between £15 and £42. To buy tickets, see or call the ticket office on 08444 124 322.
