The Royal Ballet’s Melissa Hamilton will take a leave of absence to join Dresden’s Semperoper Ballett for the 2015–16 season. She will first appear with the company in the title role of Kenneth MacMillan’s Manon in November 2015.
Choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui is to be the new artistic director of Royal Ballet Flanders, it was announced on February 4. Cherkaoui will take up his post on September 1, 2015, with Tamas Moricz as his associate artistic director.

Sylvie Guillem has announced her final performances at Sadler’s Wells, where she is an associate artist, as part of a world tour in 2015.
English National Ballet is the first ballet company to become an “associate company” at Sadler’s Wells, it was announced at the London venue’s annual press conference. The theatre also announced Sylvie Guillem’s farewell performances, and confirmed details of its proposed new venue, to be built as part of a new cultural quarter in Stratford, London.

William Forsythe is to create a new work for the Paris Opéra Ballet, Stéphane Lissner has told Le Monde. The world premiere will be created for the 2015-2016 season, Benjamin Millepied’s first as director of dance at the Paris Opéra.
