Nominations for the 15th National Dance Awards have been announced. The dance section of the Critics’ Circle, a group of more than 50 dance writers and critics, votes on the awards.
As mentioned in last month’s magazine, Oberon Books is publishing a new photographic book by Andrej Uspenski dedicated to The Royal Ballet’s Steven McRae.
Johan Kobborg has been appointed director of the National Romanian Ballet. He will take up his new post in February 2014. The announcement came after the first night of Kobborg’s production of La Sylphide for the company, which opened on December 7.
