Osipova to dance at Sadler’s Wells

Natalia Osipova, the Russian-born principal dancer with The Royal Ballet, is to appear in a triple bill of specially created contemporary works at Sadler’s Wells next summer. The announcement was made at Sadler’s Wells’ annual press conference, where the theatre also revealed its plans for the first half of 2016.

Sergei Polunin, already notorious for leaving companies at short notice, has apparently been dismissed from Stanislavsky Ballet, according to reports from Moscow.

Schaufuss and Polunin settle out of court

Peter Schaufuss has confirmed that he will no longer pursue damages for breach of contract against Sergei Polunin and Igor Zelensky. Polunin and Zelensky have now settled out of court.

National Dance Awards: nominations announced

Nominations for the 14th National Dance Awards were announced today by the dance section of the Critics’ Circle.

Gala for Yorkshire Ballet Summer School

STOP PRESS – Sergei Polunin will also be appearing at the Gala Anthony Dowell and actor Derek Jacobi will host a gala marking the 40th anniversary of the Yorkshire Ballet Summer School (YBSS), held at Sadler’s Wells on September 29.

Polunin in Petit’s Coppélia

This July, the Moscow Stanislavsky Ballet comes to the London Coliseum with Roland Petit’s version of Coppélia. Sergei Polunin will dance Franz during the run.
