The laureates of this year’s Benois de la Danse have been announced, with The Royal Ballet’s The Winter’s Tale dominating the prize.
On October 1, the first ever World Ballet Day will see an unprecedented collaboration between five of the world’s leading ballet companies: the Australian Ballet, the Bolshoi Ballet, The Royal Ballet, National Ballet of Canada and San Francisco Ballet.
Nominations for the 14th National Dance Awards were announced today by the dance section of the Critics’ Circle.
Beijing’s second International Ballet and Choreography competition will be held from July 5 to 13. Tonight’s sold-out opening gala features San Francisco Ballet’s Yuan Yuan Tan and Taiwanese virtuoso Fang-Yi Sheu (pictured) alongside 2011 winners Ma Xiaodong, Zhan Xinlu, Li Renxiu and Wang Yun.
