American Ballet Theatre (ABT) has announced its 2014 spring season at the Metropolitan Opera House, New York. Running from May 12 to July 5, it includes the company premiere of Frederick Ashton’s Cinderella, a Shakespeare celebration and a revival of Léonide Massine’s Gaîté Parisienne.

The Ballet of La Scala, Milan has announced its plans for the 2013–14 season. It will open on December 17 with an evening of works by Alexei Ratmansky, including Concerto DSCH, Russian Seasons and a new work. Performers will include Svetlana Zakharova, Roberto Bolle and Massimo Murru.
People will be spoilt for choice with on-screen performances of The Nutcracker over the Christmas period.
A new documentary series, “Agony & Ecstasy, A Year with English National Ballet” will be broadcast on BBC4 this March.
