The London Coliseum has announced its dance performances for spring and summer 2013. The programme includes visits from overseas companies the Mikhailovsky Ballet and Boston Ballet, plus seasons by Birmingham Royal Ballet and English National Ballet.
Ballet Preljocaj, The Royal Ballet of Flanders and Danza Contemporanea de Cuba are among the international companies in the new season at Sadler’s Wells, alongside Matthew Bourne, Ivan Putrov and Russell Maliphant.
The National Gallery of Australia holds a rich collection of Ballets Russes costumes, which will be on display from December 2010.
Diaghilev’s Ballets Russes first danced in London in 1911.
