Anjali, the UK’s first company for dancers with learning disabilities, is to relaunch thanks to two large anonymous donations.
Emma Gladstone (pictured) will succeed Betsy Gregory as the artistic director of Dance Umbrella. She will take up the post in November 2013, following this year’s Dance Umbrella festival, the last to be directed by Gregory.
A number of dance performances are included in the 2012 City of London Festival, which this year celebrates its 50th anniversary. The programme of over 150 events in more than 55 London venues, planned by festival director Ian Ritchie, will take place from June 24 to July 27.
