Makhar Vaziev to direct Bolshoi Ballet

Makhar Vaziev has been appointed ballet director at Moscow’s Bolshoi Theatre, Reuters reports. This is a newly-defined position: Vaziev follows outgoing artistic director Sergei Filin, who suffered a horrific acid attack in 2013.
