Opening tonight, the Connect Festival is two weeks celebrating dance and learning throughout life. Presented by the creative learning department of Sadler’s Wells, the programme goes from youth dance showcases to a performance by the Company of Elders, whose members are all over 60.
The line-up for this year’s Breakin’ Convention has been announced. Hip hop performers come from around the world to the international festival of hip hop dance theatre, held each May Bank Holiday weekend at Sadler’s Wells in London.
“One Man Walking” is a new dance film created for Channel 4’s Street Summer season. To be shown on Monday, August 15 at 10.30pm, the film explores the challenges of life in the city, using Krump, hip hop and parkour.
