English National Ballet is the first ballet company to become an “associate company” at Sadler’s Wells, it was announced at the London venue’s annual press conference. The theatre also announced Sylvie Guillem’s farewell performances, and confirmed details of its proposed new venue, to be built as part of a new cultural quarter in Stratford, London.

The London Coliseum has announced its dance performances for spring and summer 2013. The programme includes visits from overseas companies the Mikhailovsky Ballet and Boston Ballet, plus seasons by Birmingham Royal Ballet and English National Ballet.
Boston Ballet will visit the London Coliseum from July 1 to 7, 2013, as part of the company’s 50th anniversary celebrations. The twelfth Critics’ Circle National Dance Awards took place today at The Place, in the Robin Howard Dance Theatre. Members of the dance section of the Critics’ Circle vote for the awards, on performances given in the UK between September 1, 2010 and August 31, 2011.
