Royal Ballet Benevolent Fund and Dance Teachers’ Benevolent Fund merger

The Royal Ballet Benevolent Fund (RBBF) announced today that it has merged with the Dance Teachers’ Benevolent Fund (DTBF) effective from January 1, 2016. This follows extensive liaison between the charities and their key stakeholders. The Royal Ballet Benevolent Fund continues as a registered charity.

Dancers of The Royal Ballet to appear in a Gala for Ghana

Members of The Royal Ballet, including principals Lauren Cuthbertson, Sarah Lamb, Rupert Pennefather and Edward Watson, will be performing in a unique gala on Sunday, February 2, in aid of Ghanaian charity Ashanti Development.

New website for DTBF

The Dance Teachers’ Benevolent Fund (DTBF) has just launched a new website that gives full details about its sterling work helping qualified dance teachers suffering temporary or long-term hardship.

Dance marathon for Headway

Headway East London, a charity supporting people affected by brain injury, will hold its annual dance marathon on April 27. The fundraising event moves through time from the 1930s to the present day, with live bands, DJs, games, cabaret, dance troupes and competitions keeping a carnival feeling throughout the day.
