The Royal Ballet Benevolent Fund (RBBF) announced today that it has merged with the Dance Teachers’ Benevolent Fund (DTBF) effective from January 1, 2016. This follows extensive liaison between the charities and their key stakeholders. The Royal Ballet Benevolent Fund continues as a registered charity.
Shiori Kase has won this year’s Emerging Dancer Award. Now in its second year, the award is an annual competition for English National Ballet to nurture its up-and-coming dancers. It is sponsored by restructuring experts Talbot Hughes McKillop.
Dame Beryl Grey and staff of The Royal Ballet take part in dance events at the London Jewish Cultural Centre this year. Based at Ivy House, the former home of ballerina Anna Pavlova, the LJCC will host a masterclass with Grey and a two-day workshop on The Sleeping Beauty.
