Benjamin Millepied is stepping down as director of the Paris Opéra Ballet, where he has been director since 2014. At a press conference on February 4, his successor was announced as Aurélie Dupont, who retired as étoile of the company last year. Millepied will leave at the end of the current season, in July.

William Forsythe is to create a new work for the Paris Opéra Ballet, Stéphane Lissner has told Le Monde. The world premiere will be created for the 2015-2016 season, Benjamin Millepied’s first as director of dance at the Paris Opéra.
Choreographer Benjamin Millepied will succeed Brigitte Lefèvre as director of the Paris Opéra Ballet, it has been announced. He will take up the position from October 15, 2014.
