The Royal Ballet has announced details of its US tour, visiting Washington, Chicago and New York this summer. The repertory will include Carlos Acosta’s production of Don Quixote and works by Frederick Ashton, Kenneth MacMillan, Wayne McGregor, Liam Scarlett and Christopher Wheeldon.

Nominations for the 14th National Dance Awards were announced today by the dance section of the Critics’ Circle.
Christopher Wheeldon’s Aeternum (pictured) won the Olivier award for best new dance production, announced at a ceremony held last night. Created for The Royal Ballet, the work starred Marianela Nuñez, who won the award for outstanding achievement in dance for her work in Aeternum, Diana and Actaeon and Viscera, all with The Royal Ballet.
Nominations have been announced for this year’s Olivier awards, presented by the Society of London Theatre and supported by Mastercard.
