Subathra Subramaniam has won funding from Arts Council England and The Wellcome Trust to produce and tour a new work, The Shiver, for her new dance company Sadhana. The new work looks at the emotional and scientific reasons for shivering.
Subramaniam, an associate artist of South East Dance, uses Bharata Natyam dance in the work, while collaborating with a poet, a composer, a digital artist and neuroscientist. In June, The Shiver will be performed at ICIA Bath University and Wycombe Swan, before touring nationally in the autumn.
