Strictly Children in Need special UPDATE

strictly children in needFor BBC Children in Need, young ballroom champions will take to the Strictly dancefloor, while original host Bruce Forsyth returns for this special episode.

Four talented young dancers will show off their skills in teams, dancing alongside the show’s own professional dancers. “Team Glitter” is led by Natalie Lowe and Anton du Beke, with Juniors Elliot Blant Harwood and Mia Linnik Holden. Aliona Vilani and Tristan MacManus dance for “Team Sparkle”, joined by Juniors Daniel Wright and Ella Perry.

In a Strictly first, the teams will compete head to head in a bid to win the Pudsey glitterball trophy. The contest will be decided by the Strictly judges, Len Goodman, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood, hosted by Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly.

Zoë was born in Edinburgh, and saw her first dance performances at the Festival there. She is the dance critic of The Independent, and has also written for The Independent on Sunday, The Scotsman and Dancing Times. In 2002, she received her doctorate from the University of York for a thesis on “Nationhood and epic romance: Ariosto, Sidney, Spenser”. She is the author of The Royal Ballet: 75 Years and The Ballet Lover’s Companion.
