The new series of “Strictly Come Dancing” will have a live Saturday night competition followed by a Sunday night results show, presented by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman. The 30-minute results show will have no dance-off, but will feature a pro-dance performance and the elimination.
For the first live shows of the competition, shown on October 1 and 2, there will be no public voting. The judges’ scores will create a leaderboard that will be carried into the second week. From then on, “Strictly” will show a Saturday night competition each week, followed by a Sunday night results show. The BBC have also confirmed that there will be a “Strictly” Christmas special, a one-off competition with a new celebrity line-up, who will train for two weeks before the show.
The first “Strictly” live show will be aired on BBC One at 9pm on October 1.
