If you thought “Strictly Come Dancing” returning to the small screen on Saturday nights was exciting, brace yourself, because next spring the real stars of the show will be appearing in venues across the UK as part of Strictly Come Dancing – The Professionals Tour.
Ten dancers from the show will bring Latin, ballroom and tango to theatres from April to July 2010. Away from the pressure of the judges’ glare, Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace, James and Ola Jordan, Matthew Cutler and Kristina Rihanoff, and Brian Fortuna and Ian Waite with this season’s new faces Aliona Vilani and Natalie Lowe will dazzle audiences with their stunning routines and elegant gowns in an 11-week dance extravaganza accompanied by a live band starting at the Brighton Centre on April 26. From there, the group will take in Birmingham Hippodrome, Dublin O2 Arena, Cardiff Millennium Centre, Leicester De Montfort Hall, Southampton Mayflower, Plymouth Pavillions, Edinburgh Playhouse, Liverpool Empire and Bristol Hippodrome, spending a week in each town and ending on July 17 at Bournemouth International Centre. Tickets can be booked via www.strictlycomedancingprotour.com or through the individual venues. Photograph shows Strictly Come Dancing: The Professionals, © Chris Nash.
