Royal Ballet School Gala

The Royal Ballet School Lower School will host a gala event at White Lodge in Richmond Park on Wednesday, June 20. The gala will raise funds in support of the Isabella Plantation Access Project in Richmond Park.


Guests will be greeted at 6.30pm with champagne and canapés in the salon, followed by a programme of dance in the Margot Fonteyn Theatre, performed by students of the school. The evening will close with refreshments in the salon. Tickets cost £50, and can be booked online at .


The Isabella Plantation is a 40-acre woodland garden in the heart of the park. The new project is designed to make the plantation accessible to all visitors, with improved paths and entrance gates, new visitor facilities, environmental and ecological projects and community activities. Zoë was born in Edinburgh, and saw her first dance performances at the Festival there. She is the dance critic of The Independent, and has also written for The Independent on Sunday, The Scotsman and Dancing Times. In 2002, she received her doctorate from the University of York for a thesis on “Nationhood and epic romance: Ariosto, Sidney, Spenser”. She is the author of The Royal Ballet: 75 Years and The Ballet Lover’s Companion.
