Applications open for Resolution! 2013

Posted on August 17, 2012

The Place is now accepting applications for the 2013 edition of Resolution!, its open showcase for the newest in contemporary dance.

Now in its 24th edition, Resolution! gives emerging choreographers the chance to present their work on of the UK’s best-known dance stages. Many of the UK’s leading choreographers had early breakthroughs with Resolution!, including Wayne McGregor, Mark Baldwin and Kate Prince. A total of 81 works will be selected for Resolution! 2013, to be performed in nightly Triple Bills from January 8 to Febraury 15 at the Robin Howard Dance Theatre, The Place, London.

Applications must be submitted by September 13.All UK-based choreographers can apply to Resolution! Priority will be given to work that is contemporary in content, and to groups over solo dancers. The work should be by artists who have completed full-time vocational training in dance, experienced dancers at the outset of their choreographic career or younger artists who can demonstrate an engagement with the dance profession and its opportunities.
