singinintherain-silCan you twist like John Travolta? Tap like Shirley Temple? Well now is your chance to show off your moves in the BFI’s Gotta Dance, Gotta Dance! competition in association with Big Dance.

Simply film your re-creation – anything from three seconds to three minutes – and then submit it to one of the BFI’s or Big Dance’s social media channels or email.

Need some inspiration? Check out the BFI’s guide to 36 amazing dance scenes or the films being shown this July and August.

To mark their fantastic two-month season of dance on film at the BFI Southbank, the kind folks at the BFI have put together a dance goody bag worth over £600 to get those feet tapping. With prizes including Bloch merchandise, cinema and show tickets, there’s never been a better time to get dancing! For details on the competition and prizes, follow this link.
