Photographers vs Prostate Cancer

The Dance Project, held at London’s Regent Street Cinema on November 1, is an evening of film, live flamenco and photography. It will include an exhibition and auction of works by some of the world’s top photographers to raise funds for the charity Prostate Cancer UK.

Organised by Richard Dunkey, the exhibition features 20 donations of dance-inspired photography, with images of Carlos Acosta, Darcey Bussell, Sergei Polunin, Natalia Osipova, Marianela Nuñez, Rudolf Nureyev and more. Zoë was born in Edinburgh, and saw her first dance performances at the Festival there. She is the dance critic of The Independent, and has also written for The Independent on Sunday, The Scotsman and Dancing Times. In 2002, she received her doctorate from the University of York for a thesis on “Nationhood and epic romance: Ariosto, Sidney, Spenser”. She is the author of The Royal Ballet: 75 Years and The Ballet Lover’s Companion.
