Applications are open for Next Choreography, a year-long training programme that builds young people’s knowledge, skills and understanding of choreography, based at Siobhan Davies Studios in London.
The course encourages young people to explore different choreographic processes across artistic disciplines, to make their own work and share their experiences. Participants will meet artists and attend events, performances and exhibitions and experiment with choreographic approaches. In the third and final term, the students will curate and produce a dedicated Choreographic Youth Festival at Siobhan Davies Studios.
Applicants must commit to the year-long programme, which includes weekly sessions at Siobhan Davies Studios during term time. There is a small charge of £50 for course participants, payable in instalments. Subsidised and free places are also available. The course is open to young people aged 16 to 21 – if you are aged 14 or 15 and are interested in applying, please email Laura Aldridge at LauraA@siobhandavies.com.
To apply, sign up at the IdeasTap website. The deadline for applications is July 7 at 5pm. Late entries will not be accepted.
