Following a record-breaking 2010 season – the most successful in the theatre’s history – the Open Air Theatre has announced its season for 2011.
It includes the Gershwin musical comedy Crazy for You (running July 28 – September 10), featuring the songs “I got rhythm” “Someone to watch over me”, “Embraceable you” and “Nice work if you can get it”. The production will be directed by Timothy Sheader , with choreography by Stephen Mear and designs by Peter McKintosh. Gareth Valentine is the musical director.
The season also includes Lord of the Flies, The Beggar’s Opera and Pericles. Priority booking for members is now open; public booking opens on January 11, 2011. See www.openairtheatre.com for details.
