The National Association of Teachers of Dancing (NATD) promotes the enjoyment and knowledge of a variety of dance genres through its teachers’ passion and commitment to the art form. The organisation respects and encourages the diversity and values of individuals and their culture. It is committed to the highest standards of service, integrity and fairness.

The NATD offers a range of examinations, encouraging a positive approach to achievement, and strives for the development of each individual to their maximum potential. Going forward the NATD will continue to support the development and relevance of dance in a rapidly changing society.

Constitution and Administration
The NATD has a modern suite of offices, equipped with the latest computerisation, in Thatcham. It is administered by a full-time company secretary and staff under the direction of the president, chief executive, Quality Assurance and Child Protection manager and Council of Management. The latter are all democratically elected for a limited term of office. The NATD is a company limited by guarantee. It is controlled by its registered articles of Association and a Rule Book framed within those articles.

The membership is divided into seven areas: South West, London, Anglia, Midlands, North Midlands, North West and North East.
