Moulin Rouge! The Musical

Posted on December 12, 2019

MOULIN ROUGE BROADWAY 03790

Moulin Rouge! The Musical, based on the film by Baz Luhrmann, will open at the Piccadilly Theatre in London in March 2021. Directed by Alex Timbers, Moulin Rouge! The Musical has a book by John Logan, choreography by Sonya Tayeh, and music supervision, orchestrations and arrangements by Justin Levine. The musical will feature set designs by Derek McLane, costumes by Catherine Zuber, lighting by Justin Townsend, and sound by Peter Hylenski.

“After ten years in development, and following the fantastic response to Moulin Rouge! The Musical in New York, we are thrilled to be sharing this musical with audiences in the UK. We can’t wait to bring the show to London,” said producer Carmen Pavlovic of Global Creatures.

The musical, which features a lavish, immersive set, follows aspiring writer Christian and dancer Satine as they fall in love and, as in the film, celebrates some of the greatest popular music of the last 50 years. Register at moulinrougemusical.com.
