Memorial and fundraising walk for Kevin Berry

Posted on September 5, 2014

Kevin Berry, who wrote for Dancing Times and Dance Today for many years, sadly died on August 12, after living with cancer for several years. A memorial celebration for Kevin was held at 2.30pm at the Quaker Meeting House in Airton, near Skipton, Yorkshire on September 21.

His daughter, Liz Smith, will be doing the Twilight Walk in memory of Kevin to raise money for the Brain Tumour Charity. “Many people respected him as a journalist and supporter of the arts but to me he was simply the best Dad you could ask for,” she says. You can make a donation at her JustGiving page.

“Kevin was one of the kindest people you could hope to meet,” said Dancing Times editor Jonathan Gray. Everyone at Dancing Times and Dance Today misses Kevin, and we extend our deepest sympathy to his wife, Pat, and his children and grandchildren.
