Masters of Ballet Academy

Posted on March 1, 2020

Masters of Ballet Academy is a London based vocational ballet school, founded by Elena Glurjidze (former Principal Ballerina at the English National Ballet Company) and Olga Semenova (former Vaganova Ballet Academy teacher and Director of the Russian Imperial Ballet School), offering the highest level of ballet training in London, out of school hours.

The Academy holds classes in Classical Ballet, Pointe Work, Pas de Deux, Character and Contemporary, six days a week, from age 4–19. Both Olga and Elena are graduates of the Vaganova Ballet Academy and as such follow the Vaganova Method of teaching. Students are given the valuable opportunity to develop confidence, technical ability, stamina and grace. The Academy prepares young dancers for competitions and auditions as well as taking part in its own school performances three times a year.

The Academy is also known for its highly acclaimed Easter and Summer Intensives, to which renowned guest teachers are invited from all over the world. Students and ex-students are currently competing and performing in Russia, Estonia, America, Italy, Spain and France and are performing in worldwide professional ballet companies. MOBA is a member of the ARBTA (Association of Russian Ballet and Theatre Arts) and has full accreditation from BDQT (Board of Dance Qualifications & Training)
