The Malta Wheelchair DanceSport Association will hold its sixth open dance spectacular on November 24 to 25. The international event is open to medallists and Amateurs as well as wheelchair dancers, with competitions from Juniors to Seniors and from beginners to champions. Dancers from 16 countries attended the last spectacular.
The event will be held at the New University Sports Hall in Msida, with four-star accommodation. The judging panel will be chaired by Nigel Horrocks, with the whole event under the patronage of Dr George Abela, president of Malta. This year, there will be a new integrated team match for wheelchair dancers and dancers without disabilities. There will also be a judges’ dancer – last year, the judges were on motorbikes!
The spectacular ends with a farewell party, and will be followed by a three-day training camp held once the competitions have finished. The closing date for entries is October 30. See www.maltawda.com for details.
