Laura Román in London

Posted on October 3, 2011

Peña Flamenca de Londres is holding an evening of song and dance this Sunday, October 9. Rising star Laura Román will be performing with Tito Heredia on guitar.

The evening will be a relaxed affair and anyone interested is welcome. Over from Seville especially for this event, Laura will also be teaching a dance workshop in the afternoon, which will focus on how to dance to the singer and add some professional polish to your fin de fiesta tangos and bulerías.

Drinks are “two for one” before 8pm and there’s 25 per cent off all food. Entry on the door costs £12 for members and £15 for non-members. For enquiries and bookings, email or call Vera on 020 7703 6893.

Nicola Rayner was editor of Dance Today from 2010 to 2015. She has written for a number of publications including The Guardian, The Independent and Time Out Buenos Aires, where she cut her teeth as a dance journalist working on the tango section. Today she continues to dance everything from ballroom to breakdance, with varying degrees of success. Her debut novel, The Girl Before You, was published last year in paperback, ebook and audiobook.
