The London 2012 Olympics are very nearly upon us, and it seems there is no escaping the build-up to the Games – even in the world of dance! In this month’s issue, we highlight some of the dance-related events that contribute towards the London 2012 Festival. Coinciding with the London 2012 Olympics is the Peter Schaufuss Ballet’s Tchaikovsky Trilogy season at the London Coliseum, and on page 19, Zoë Anderson talks to two of its stars, Irek Mukhamedov and Alban Lendorf.
Birmingham Royal Ballet principal dancer Matthew Lawrence takes a look at eating disorders and ballet on page 39, and on page 35 we pay tribute to former ballerina and much-loved teacher Julia Farron, who celebrates her 90th birthday this month. Happy Birthday!
