Jean M. Wong School of Ballet

Hong Kong International Summer Dance School (ISDS) is a four-week dance summer intensive organised by Jean M. Wong School of Ballet and the school’s scholarship, The Tsinforn C. Wong Memorial Scholarship. ISDS 2019 will be from July 13 to August 12 for students aged 12 to 19. All ISDS students will perform at the gala performance Stars of Tomorrow 2019 which will be held on August 10 and 11 at a large performance venue in Hong Kong.

Now in its 29th year, the summer school has broadened many students’ horizons and increased their dancing proficiency. The curriculum includes classical ballet, pointe, contemporary and repertoire, and will be taught by an internationally renowned guest faculty and joined by many international students. This year’s faculty includes:

Emmanuel Gázquez (Vienna State Opera Ballet, Austria)

Linda Gelinas (Metropolitan Opera, USA)

Alfonso Palencia (Hagen Ballet, Germany)

Andrei Matinkine (Vaganova Ballet Academy, Russia)

Additional members of the faculty will be announced.

Accommodation for international students will be arranged in a hotel / service apartment.

Jean M. Wong School of Ballet is recognised as the biggest and most prestigious ballet school in Asia. Scholarships can be applied for.
