Internship at Dancers’ Career Development

Dancers’ Career Development, which helps dancers make the transition from professional dancing to new careers, is offering a three-month internship, based in central London.

The chosen intern will help the DCD staff on marketing projects, database management and the schools and outreach programme, as well as general office management and administration. This internship is ideal for those interested in a career in arts management or charitable work.

The placement is for three months, from February 7, 2011–April 29, 2011. Although this is an unpaid post, DCD will offer reimbursement for travel expenses. To apply, send your CV with a short covering letter to admin@thedcd.org.uk or post to:

Zoë was born in Edinburgh, and saw her first dance performances at the Festival there. She is the dance critic of The Independent, and has also written for The Independent on Sunday, The Scotsman and Dancing Times. In 2002, she received her doctorate from the University of York for a thesis on “Nationhood and epic romance: Ariosto, Sidney, Spenser”. She is the author of The Royal Ballet: 75 Years and The Ballet Lover’s Companion.
