Forget-Me-Not on the Thames

Posted on June 22, 2015

forget me not

forget-me-notThe Dancers’ Forget-Me-Not Fund will hold a Thames River Cruise Dinner Dance on August 15. It will be an evening of dining, dancing and watching the sights of London slip by, all in aid of the Forget-Me-Not Fund, which raises money for dancers who are ill, who receive a “get well” message and a gift.

As the ship sails down to the Thames barrier, you can enjoy a fine four-course dinner, with wine and coffee, plus cabaret and social dancing on the return journey. The cost is £80 per person, and can be paid in a range of ways, including by instalments. Booking forms and more information are available from or by calling acting treasurer Peter Greenwood on 01425 482 754.

Nicola Rayner was editor of Dance Today from 2010 to 2015. She has written for a number of publications including The Guardian, The Independent and Time Out Buenos Aires, where she cut her teeth as a dance journalist working on the tango section. Today she continues to dance everything from ballroom to breakdance, with varying degrees of success. Her debut novel, The Girl Before You, was published last year in paperback, ebook and audiobook.
