You have just a few days to vote for your teacher in this year’s Dance Today Teacher of the Year. Last year’s our competition was a huge success, with hundreds of readers voting for their favourite dance teacher.
Pauline Mason, of Danceworks Devon, was thrilled to be announced the winner: “It was a very pleasant surprise to receive the award and I was amazed to know that so many people had taken the trouble to vote,” she says. “The response from my students has made teaching that much more rewarding.”
To vote for your teacher, get in touch by post, email, Twitter or via our Facebook page by May 1, telling us why you’d love to see your teacher win. The best reader nomination will win a free year’s subscription to Dance Today.
We’ll announce the shortlisted candidates and overall winner – the teacher with the most reader votes – in our June issue. The Teacher of the Year will win a specially created Dance Today trophy – a cover of the magazine starring them, a feature about them and their studio in the magazine, a year’s free subscription to Dance Today and sister magazine, Dancing Times, a selection of dance CDs and DVDs, plus, we can now confirm, a pair of tickets to Dance Proms, the celebration of dancers and their dance teachers organised by three of the world’s leading dance examination boards – the RAD, ISTD and IDTA – at the Royal Albert Hall on November 2, 2014.
