Duke’s Place: The Jazz Café

Posted on August 25, 2011

Gloster Jive and Swing are offering two nights out at Duke’s Place: The Jazz Café for the bargain price of £10. Both events will take place at the Tythe Barn, Bishop’s Cleeve, near Cheltenham, GL52 8LU. For this special offer, pay on the first evening, Sunday, August 28, where your name will be recorded for entry into the following week’s event on Sunday, September 4.

The first part of this double bill will take place on bank holiday Sunday and feature the music of Nina Simone. On September 4, the theme is “back to school” and the organisers are after a copy – via email or brought along on August 28 – of your school photo, for a little quiz to match the people to the pictures. There will also be prizes for the best dressed in school uniform, though fancy dress is optional.

Gloster Jive and Swing are giving a “no repeat” guarantee that they will not play a single track twice over these two evenings. See for more information.
