jorgie porterBased on the ITV1 show, this year’s “Dancing on Ice” tour launched at the Newcastle Metro Arena on April 13, with performances across the country until May.

Starring Olympic ice dancing champions Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, the touring show will also feature newly crowned winner “Emmerdale” actor Matthew Wolfenden, previous champion Sam Attwater, Sugababe singer Heidi Range, “Coronation Street” actor Andy Whyment, singer Chico, “Hollyoaks” actor Jorgie Porter (pictured) and actor Jennifer Ellison.  All of the celebrities will be trained and choreographed by Torvill and Dean, who will also perform routines created exclusively for the live tour.

At each performance, the audience can vote for their favourite celebrity skater. Using the same format as the television show, spectators can use their mobile phones to vote by text. As with previous tours, all profits from text voting will go to charity. £106,475 has been raised to date, and donated to the Royal Society For The Blind and Demelza Hospice Care for Children.

The show will tour to London, Manchester, Nottingham, Sheffield, Birmingham, Liverpool and Glasgow. See for details.
