Dance Marathon at the Barbican

Posted on October 10, 2011

Strap on your dancing shoes and take a spin around the floor at bluemouth inc’s Dance Marathon, a performance event inspired by the endurance contests of 1920s and 1930s America.

This immersive show playfully integrates movement, text, music, video and audience interaction. Presented at Dance Umbrella by Canada’s award-winning interdisciplinary theatre collective bluemouth inc, who will teach you dances such as the box step and lindy hop, Dance Marathon is a night to remember. Round after round will be danced out against the clock, until only one couple is left standing and crowned champion. Could it be you?

Dance Marathon is at the Barbican, London, from October 13 to October 16. To book, call Dance Umbrella’s ticket line on 0844 412 4312 or see the website.
