Cuba comes to Eastbourne

Salsa dancers

The spirit of Cuba comes to Eastbourne at the Cuban Salsa Sensation Weekend at the York House Hotel from May 3 to 5.

Over an intensive weekend of dance workshops and parties, hosts Cuban-born instructor Leo Henriquez, Katarína Krošláková and salsa musicality expert Lee Knights will help you to take your dancing to another level.

Dancers will enjoy a full programme of dance workshops, suitable for all levels of experience. For newcomers to salsa, there is an intensive beginners’ fast-track course to get you moving fluidly on the dance floor. Instruction is in small, friendly groups with constant rotation of partners, making the weekender ideal for solo dancers as well as couples.

With step-by-step, progressive tuition, the weekend offers an immersive experience of traditional Cuban dance. The workshop programme includes instruction on Cuban salsa, rueda de casino (Cuban circle dancing), authentic Cuban son and rumba, as well as the the folkloric dances of the Afro-Cuban Orishas, bolero and more.

Staying half board at York House Hotel on the seafront, there is a chance to enjoy a choice of high-energy dance classes and nightly parties with time to relax and explore Eastbourne.

The holiday is priced £249, including hotel accommodation, half board (breakfast and dinner), full dance pass and parties. Mention Dancing Times when you book and you will get £10 off your holiday.

To book, call Club Dance Holidays on 0207 099 4816 or click here.
