Posted on July 25, 2011

crazyforyoubytristramkentonThe Gershwin musical comedy Crazy for You opens at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre on Thursday, July 28.

Crazy For You was created as a “new” Gershwin musical in 1992, when it won both Tony and Olivier awards for Best Musical. Drawing together songs from a number of musicals by George and Ira Gershwin, it includes the hits “I Got Rhythm,” “Someone To Watch Over Me”, “Embraceable You” and “Nice Work If You Can Get It”.

This new production is directed by Timothy Sheader, artistic director of the Open Air Theatre, with choreography by Stephen Mear and musical direction by Gareth Valentine. It stars Sean Palmer, Clare Foster, Kim Medcalf, Harriet Thorpe and Michael McKell.
