Chrisanne wins top award

Posted on May 8, 2015

peterDance fashion company Chrisanne has just been announced winner of the prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade, which recognises outstanding overseas sales growth in the last three years.

The company has been on quite a journey over the last 28 years – from a spare room where Hans and Anne Laxholm, then world ballroom champions, and Peter and Christina Dobner, then Austrian ballroom champions, started out with a passion to create innovative, contemporary fabrics and trimmings for the modern dancer to now employing over 60 members of staff from everywhere from Croydon to China.

By creating a set of dynamic strategies, developing in new markets and building close partnerships, Chrisanne now supplies unique, high-quality couture dance dresses, practice wear, fabrics and trimmings to more than 70 countries worldwide.

Managing director, Peter Dobner, says: “We are privileged to work in an industry that has such an abundance of exciting, inspiring and creative people and would like to thank everyone who has worked with us in our 28-year history. Our customers worldwide always throw us challenges that bring out the best in us. We feel that this high-profile award not only reflects a success for Chrisanne but a wider public recognition for our world of dance!”
