Blackpool finale

Posted on June 3, 2013

beachtowerThis year’s Blackpool Dance Festival has waltzed to an exciting finish. As ever, the festival ended with the Professional Ballroom final, danced to a packed audience at the Winter Gardens.

The defending champions, Arunas Bizokas and Katusha Demidova from the US, triumphed again, winning every dance. This was their fourth consecutive Blackpool Professional Ballroom title. Victor Fung and Anastasia Muravyova, also from the US, came second, with England’s Andrea Ghigiarelli and Sara Andracchio placed third.

With the festival over for another year, dancers and stallholders have packed up their sequins. See you in 2014!
