Bill’s dance marathon

Posted on August 19, 2015

Bill Harpe, a long-standing contributor to Dancing Times, is undertaking a 12-hour dance marathon on Saturday, September 19, in order to raise funds to cover a 35 per cent cut in Arts Council support over three years for The Black-E in Liverpool, the UK’s first community arts project, where he has been actively involved since 1968.

One response to the cuts is a series of “Arts of Survival” events at The Black-E, the first of which will be Bill’s dance marathon. Everyone is welcome to come and support Bill, or even dance with him – all dance styles are welcome! To find out more about the event, and also to sponsor Bill, visit the website www.theblack-e.co.uk.
